What if we started by helping each other out?
Doing the shopping, heating the house, sorting the garden, redoing a corner of a room. It all weighs on the budget.
And right next door, resources sit unused: a few bricks behind a garage, boxes after a house move, spare seedlings in the vegetable patch.
One has a surplus. The other has a need. Between them, sometimes just one street.
A listing, a neighbour, a knock at the door. Circule helps you give away and pick up, free of charge, whatever still has a use, in Casteau.
Who is behind Circule
Circule started in Casteau, built by Guillaume Chasse. He runs his own projects and helps others run theirs, with a soft spot for those that leave the place better than they found it.
The idea comes from the ground. In a village, everything needed is already there: the neighbour's grass clippings, the bricks from a job that is finishing, the grower's crates, the boxes from a house move. What is missing is the place where they meet. Circule is that place.
- CAOUA, design and build : Strategy, communication and digital tools, based in Mons. Caoua designs Circule, builds it and keeps it running.
- Petites Terres, where the project started : Edible gardens, aromatic and medicinal plants, nature based solutions. That is where the conviction behind Circule was formed: a resource is worth more a hundred metres away than in a skip.
Circule is free, for residents and for the council alike. It is a pilot, carried by its author, and no payment goes through it.
