Circule is a pilot. It is free for residents and for the council, and no payment goes through it.
What Circule does, and what it does not do
Circule puts neighbours in touch around a material one of them no longer needs. Nothing else.
No money changes hands, nothing is lent, no labour is provided, and Circule organises no transport. The exchange happens directly between the two people.
Circule is not a party to the exchange. It does not own, inspect or guarantee what is offered, and it gives no warranty as to its condition, its safety or its origin.
The exchange itself
The item is handed over as it is, on the giver’s own private ground. The taker loads and carries it themselves, at their own risk.
Each person remains responsible for their own safety, for their vehicle and for their insurance. Carrying a trailer of rubble is an ordinary act of daily life, with its ordinary risks.
The giver states that what they offer belongs to them and may lawfully be handed over. Selling, lending or offering a service through Circule is not allowed.
Moderation
Every listing is checked automatically the moment it is posted, and a listing that falls outside these rules is refused with the reason given.
Materials with their own dedicated channel are never accepted: asbestos, mineral wool, treated wood, electrical appliances, chemicals, fuels, batteries, medicines, animal products, invasive plants, excavated soil.
A listing may be withdrawn at any time, without notice, if it turns out to fall outside these rules.
